Pluck Privacy Policy

Pluck is a photo-clutter vacuum for iOS, built and operated by Barder Works LLC (“Barder Works”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how Pluck handles your information when you use the app and visit its web pages.

2. What Pluck does

Pluck scans your photo library on your device to help you find screenshots, duplicates, random images, and other clutter. It’s designed to be a quiet, focused clean-up helper — not another feed, network, or ad engine.

3. Information we access in the app

Pluck needs access to certain data on your iOS device in order to work:

• Photos and videos (on-device only). When you grant Photos permissions on your iPhone, Pluck can read metadata about your photos (such as date, size, and type) and analyze them locally to group clutter (screenshots, similar shots, etc.). Pluck does not upload your photo library to our servers.
• App usage information (on-device + optional diagnostics). We may collect basic aggregated information about how often features are used (for example, how many scans are run, or which clutter groups are most common). This is used to improve the app, not to build user profiles.

4. Information we do not collect

As of the date above, Pluck is intentionally minimal. In particular:

• We do not collect your name, email address, or contact list inside the app.
• We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
• We do not build cross-app or cross-service tracking profiles.

If this ever changes, we’ll update this Policy and clearly note the changes in-app and on this page.

5. Crash reports & diagnostics

To keep Pluck stable, we may use Apple’s or a third-party crash reporting tool to collect anonymous or pseudonymous diagnostics (such as device model, iOS version, and crash traces). These reports help us understand when something breaks so we can fix it.

Crash and diagnostic data does not include the contents of your photo library.

6. How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

• Provide Pluck’s core features and identify clutter in your camera roll.
• Keep the app secure and functioning as expected.
• Understand which features are helpful (in aggregate) so we know what to improve.
• Comply with legal obligations, if and when they apply.

7. How long we keep information

On-device analysis happens in real time and stays on your device. We do not keep copies of your photos on our own servers.

Aggregated diagnostics or analytics data, where used, may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to monitor stability and usage trends.

8. Your choices & controls

• Photos permission. You can change Pluck’s access to your Photos at any time in your iOS Settings.
• Deleting the app. You can uninstall Pluck at any time. This removes the app and any locally stored data from your device.
• Diagnostics & analytics. Where iOS or a third-party tool lets you opt out of diagnostics, you’re free to do so.

9. Children’s privacy

Pluck is not designed for children and does not include account registration, chat, or social features. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us directly, please contact hello@barderworks.co.

10. International users

Pluck is built and operated from the United States. If you use the app from another region, you understand that any data we process may be handled in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Pluck or applicable laws. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we may also highlight them in-app or via other reasonable methods.
